Bridgestone Introduces New Tire Tread With Improved Wear Life

Bridgestone Americas announced the launch of a new drive tire tread that is engineered to increase retread value for fleets.
The Bandag B713 FuelTech drive tire tread incorporates a new proprietary compound, 3D siping and a continuous shoulder. It is also designed to deliver fuel efficiency and longer lasting wear life. SmartWay verified the new design.

The new proprietary compound delivers 30% longer life and 7% better fuel consumption. It also mentioned the 3D siping features 130% more biting edges and the continuous shoulder design distributes weight and torque more evenly to fight irregular wear.
Bandag has been a subsidiary of Bridgestone since being acquired in 2007. – Transport Topics
