PayFuture appoints James Scrivens global sales director

PayFuture, the AI-technology powered payment gateway connector allowing merchants the ability to offer multiple local payment methods in global emerging markets, has announced the appointment of James Scrivens as its Global Sales Director.

The news comes as PayFuture successfully goes live with its unique technology in the Nigerian market, building on its existing presence in emerging markets including India, Brazil and Pakistan.

With over 13 years’ experience in the fintech space, Scrivens brings with him extensive knowledge of payments and financial services as PayFuture continues its expansion into emerging markets. Having previously worked as Head of Mid Corporate Sales at Barclays Payments, Scrivens’ comprehensive knowledge includes building go-to-market strategies within mid to large sized corporations, devising and embedding sales competencies and coaching frameworks, as well as orchestrating the overall sales environment.

At PayFuture, Scrivens will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the Direct Sales and Business Development Teams in support of PayFuture’s business goals. Leveraging his personal brand and existing contacts, Scrivens will represent PayFuture in all aspects of selling to ecommerce merchants. Additionally, he will be responsible for building senior-level, trusted-advisor relationships with PayFuture’s new and current merchants while defining, developing and implementing all strategic service offerings to drive and support the end-to-end customer experience. Scrivens will be reporting directly to PayFuture’s Co-Founder, Manpreet Haer.

PayFuture’s latest appointment comes at a significant time as the business goes live with its technology in yet another frontier market in the form of Nigeria, where it will continue to build strategic partnerships with localized payment providers as well as expanding into and offering other African emerging market countries.

Just last month, PayFuture announced triple digit growth since its launch in 2020 as demand for its technology and service offering soars, having built a client base of hundreds of merchants which is increasing every month.

Manpreet Haer, Co-Founder at PayFuture, comments: “Whether it’s with merchants or our channel payment providers, forging strong and mutually beneficial relationships is critical to PayFuture’s continued success and growth. We are delighted to welcome James, who brings such a wealth of experience in managing, leading and growing the sales team. James is highly adept at retaining the portfolio of existing business with merchants along with winning new brand name merchants too. As we enter an exciting and high-growth period for PayFuture, James will play a critical role in ensuring we are consistent in continuing to deliver to our merchants by building their trust in PayFuture. ”
